EIN verification

Verify a business EIN against IRS records.

Send a JSON body. Call in one of two ways:

  1. By application — provide app_id. business_name and ein are read from the application data on file.
  2. Directly — provide business_name and ein without an app_id.

If app_id is provided together with business_name and ein, the supplied values are used as-is. EINs are normalized to 9 digits; placeholders such as 000000000 are rejected.
